Salary: Grade J, Step 1, $18.23 – Grade J, Step 5, $21.15 per hour Temporary, Full-Time, 40 hours per week
Benefits: Full-Time: Social Security, Medical and Dental Insurance, 4 hours annual leave and 4 hours sick leave per pay period, holiday pay, up to 3% 403(b) match based upon employee contribution of 3%.
Minimum Qualifications:
B.S. or B.A. in Biology or Marine Science from a U.S. regionally accredited institution or foreign equivalent;
One (1) year work experience OR equivalent experience in coral biology or restoration;
Character of Duties:
Maintenance of two coral nurseries on Guam;
Assisting with ex situ maintenance of corals at the University of Guam (UOG) Marine Lab;
Repairing and populating coral nursery structures;
Assisting with community outreach, data management, and monitoring;
Assisting with outplanting of cultured corals;
Interacting with graduate students, undergraduate interns, visiting collaborators, and volunteers on the project;
Preparing data and talks or posters to be presented at international conferences;
Other duties as assigned;
